In UK similar but a huge amount of white fathers too. I've raised 4 with minimal financial help and 5 hours a week regular contact. Have I done all in my power for their father to do more- err big style yes!even leant him my house, Car for him to spend time with them. He works alot now and cares for himself above others and there is no changing that it seems? We were young and obviously a bad choice on my part but I tried with all I had. It is a difficult life single parenting but so are many !
