I remember reading a CDAN post about her saying basically that she wants to be know as the writer of her own songs.
Problem being that she didn’t write “her” songs.
The article went on to say this fact explains gaps in her recording new material.
It’s a lot easier to get some wannabe lyricist by the short ones (change your look,...etc) if you’ll allow her to claim the songs she sings she actually wrote.
