Actually, the engines ping satellites, the investigators did have this data. So yes, they did know where the airplane was headed. The Airplane was going south towards the North Pole off the west coast of Australia (general region) which is where they focused the search zone. The problem is, that area has some of the deepest points in the ocean, and extremely hostile conditions. Also its in the middle of the sea. So the airplane is likely on the bottom of the sea somewhere between Australia and Maldives.
IMO this was disinformation to have everyone looking over there while the navy was over here recovering the plane that the navy...airforce...someone shot down by mistake...or for a good reason...I don't know...but I believe it was shot down for some reason..and recovered within the first couple weeks...
Why did they keep the info on the Rolls Royce engine tracking secret for a week while everyone was looking west when they should have been looking more north east along its intended route...heading toward China I believe..and they even put out wreckage west to make it look good...that it was still out there somewhere...wreckage they recovered when the recovered the plane after the shoot downn...which was then planted to be found later...
They pulled a Houdini on us...saying the plane turned west...when it was going where it was suppose to...north east I believe to China...that way they could recover the wreckage right away while everyone was looking west...
Just imagine the shit show if it came out that the military shot the plane down...even if they had a reason...or even terrorists...
But what is odd is why lie...why wait before disclosing the engine GPS data...like they didn't know they had that capability...or that they lost it on radar which IMo is impossible...or the honey pot of evidence found at the pilots home....if it went down the way they said there would have been no reason to lie at all...or withhold knowledge that there was many ways to track the plane...which in this day and age...they know the exact position of all big jumbo jet airliners carrying hundreds of people...
Plus the fact that they still have not found the wreckage...no...they found it...they never lost track of it...they are simply covering something up which is pretty obvious...
The only questions I have is who shot it down...and why.
Four of the people on the ill-fated plane were co-owners of the patent to the Freescale Semiconductor’s ARM microcontroller KL-03, a recent improvement on the KL-02 which used for military radar systems...which gave Jacob Rothschild sole ownership of the very important and valuable patent...so did China shoot it down in exchange for being given access to this technology???
Civilian airports (mostly) don't have active radar, rather air traffic controllers view transponder info that is emitted by the aircraft.(similar to Ships/vessels broadcasting their callsign and location to the vessel tracking system(vts)If the pilot shuts off the transponder the plane disappears.
Militarys have active radar equipment, meaning a an array or network of radars that can track objects within range of the transmitters. Aegis is an example of a radar network. If their is no covering network in that part of the world and the plane is not broadcasting it is basically nonexistent... Unless some other gps/transmitter not connected to the call-sign transmitter(tx) is also broadcasting... This of course doesn't account for surveillance sattilites

Radar doesn't work the you might think.
