unwritten doctrine

Has anyone actually been inside a Masonic lodge? Do they even exist? Yeah I've seen pictures from as late as the 1950s. But today? Invisible. Underground? Maybe. I think 'orders' such as these thrived before television. After that invention, such orgs have seemingly disappeared. Am I wrong?

I've seen a bunch of them. You'll see their logo on cars every now and then too.

I rented one after it was sold, nothing strange about the building except that the “temple” room has a ledge a step high along the sides, and a deeper raised area across from the entrance. There are two entrances in that back area, one from the hall, and one from an ante-room that had lots of closet space with hangers (for changing clothes?). there were lots of light switches in the back that controlled two different sets of lights, as well as electrical sockets placed in the floor at specific points.

The guys currently occupying the new mason hall will be part of the town parade in July with aprons and all, they seem pretty young ( all under 40). The new mason hall is in the basement of a multi-use residential/commercial building they built and own, and there is no sign saying they are there.

That said, in the 60s our town had two mason lodges, now down to one.

Because at different times in history things become illegal, or the day of the rope comes and suddenly you are outed. Just because no one is hunting them today doesn't mean tomorrow might not see a change in the weather.

If what they are doing is so beneficial to mankind that no one would ever object, then why is it a secret???

OPSEC.

If the secrets of Masonry are so edifying and bring you closer to God, why keep them a secret?

(hint: the higherups ultimately serve Lucifer and do obscene harm to children)

Provide the evidence you have of such extra-ordinary claims. Please do not provide YouTube links.

"Lucifer, the Son of the Morning! It is he who bears the Light, and with its splendors intolerable, blinds feeble, sensual or selfish souls? Doubt it not!" - Albert Pike, Morals and Dogma of the ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite of Freemasonry, p321

The Morning Star, or Day Star, is the Sun.

And your page reference says nothing to support your extra-ordinary claim.

I'll give you a some advice in your research; Figure out when the term Lucifer and Satan first appeared in any text.

I look forward to your analysis.

From what I’ve heard they worship Lucifer because he bestowed the knowledge of good and evil upon man. Any truth to that from your perspective?

Commander_Green ago

No. The story you are referencing, in my opinion and research is that it is a copy of the story of Prometheus. Prometheus taught man how to protect themselves from Zeus and the Giants. And then he was punished, by being strapped to wooden planks in the shape of an 'X' while eagles ate out his liver everyday. This is the correct version of the story of Prometheus. However Christians, Catholics, and Jews will tell you that Prometheus was punished for "stealing" fire from the Gods.

Lucid and Euclid are anagrams. What you refer to, in my opinion and research is another example of the religious redactors shifting narratives and amalgamating all religions into one in an effort to re-write history. Lucidity means clarity of thought, or being clear in mind. Very close to the notion of being a "light bearer" as referenced in Masonic tradition. Not Freemasonry, but Masonic traditions.

Lucidity seems very similar to Lucifer when you consider the catholic church banned reading and writing for along time.
