I know this is an insane theory, but considering our clown world, it is worthy of consideration.
Here is a picture of: The Marriage of John of Gaunt and Blanche of Lancaster in Reading Abbey on 19 May 1359 by Horace Wright (1914),

On the middle right there is what looks to be a black boy, now I heavily doubt there were black children in Lancaster in 1359, especially in a Royal family. Do you think this was added sometimes recently? I've also seen this in many other paintings, a black person here and there, usually they are supposed to have been "slaves" but I don't believe they existed in this number.
