For every action there is an EQUAL AND OPPOSITE reaction.

It is physically impossible for the much smaller upper portion of the building to be able to crush the much taller and stronger built bottom portion.

30 upper floors can only crush at most 30 lower floors. Even less if the 30 below have more steel reinforcement.

The only way the upper portion can do more damage is with explosive help.

You know our school system is fucked when no one bothers to question why the upper 30 floors were completely invulnerable to the crushing forces until they hit the ground.

Well that doesn't mean shit. Also I noted that not one individual has brought into question the buildings age or the fact that it was built by the lowest bid. Without at least a modicum of critical thinking we may never know the truth.

You dismiss someone's observations by calling him an armchair engineer with no credentials. So I show you 3000 credentialed engineers, but that doesn't mean shit. And you're right, 28 year old buildings often explode into dust when hit by one or zero planes, leaving pools of molten steel for months afterwards.
