Q has said that symbolism will be their downfall.
So today I listened to a favorite song of mine by the band Tears for Fears. However, thanks to voat, I have a new lens on how I see things. I feel like the haunted lyrics are better captured in the [remix by Lorde] (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DaVA6sgOpws). Now, I fully understand this song could just be your normal 80's song about sex and drugs, but I can't help myself from feeling like there's something more. I'd love to hear what you guys think.
The following are the lyrics (with some personal commentary):
Welcome to your life
There's no turning back (sounds like a proper initiation)
Even while we sleep
We will find you
Acting on your best behaviour (this seems like a threat)
Turn your back on mother nature (chimeras? transsexuals?)
Everybody wants to rule the world
It's my own design
It's my own remorse (okay so this person feels bad... but about what?)
Help me to decide
Help me make the most
Of freedom and of pleasure (I like the first part... the second part sounds kind of weird to me)
Nothing ever lasts forever
Everybody wants to rule the world
There's a room where the light won't find you ("the light" = God? Lucifer? The public eye?)
Holding hands while the walls come tumbling down (this reminds me of that cult scene from the movie "Eyes Wide Shut")
When they do I'll be right behind you (so everyone is holding hands... but this creepy person is behind you? they must be important)
So glad we've almost made it
So sad they had to fade it (this sounds like it could be a good thing)
Everybody wants to rule the world
Everybody wants to rule the world
Everybody wants to rule the world

Earth is their garden. We are their food.

I'm glad you pointed that out. Interesting how the sun hiding on the right side, with only one eye visible. It reminds me of all the album covers where they cover one eye to represent the "all knowing eye" or whatever. It's kind of weird that the world map is focused in on east Africa and Suadi Arabia. Many of the migrants in Europe are coming from Somalia. Maybe there's some significance there but I'm not sure.
