If you eat at a restaurant and after you're done they say they will not accept cash. Tell them cash is all you have. They will definitely take the cash. It's legal tender the bill they gave you is denominated in the exact currency you're trying to hand them, they really don't have a leg to stand on. How can they charge you $10 but not accept $10?
