Just showed this to someone that I expected would at least realise that this is not normal...nothing.

Them: "I don't get the significance."

Me: "Don't you think it's unusual? Can you think of any other injury you've seen so many high profile public figures have just the same? At least if it was a rolled ankle we could say well that's something that could happen to anyone..."

Them: I just don't see why it's significant."

Me: "Can you think of the most common cause of an injury like that? When someone say black eye, what do you think of?"

Them: "I don't know."

Me: "I'm not asking you if you know how these happened, I'm asking you to think. Who punched the pope in the face? Who punched the president of the united states in the face?"

I was just so dumbfounded and in a way saddened that this particular person was so dumb. I momentarily wondered whether they were being deliberately stupid to provoke me..but no.
