I haven't used google in years. I despise it. I used to use Startpage/Ixquick until I heard they use the google search but just strip out the trackers, so you still get the same crappy search results. Using Duck Duck Go now but I'm not so sure about them either as they serve up paid ads first too.
I tried DDG out by checking my local weather with a search, and on the first several pages found nothing- the first seemingly relevant link looked legit, but forecast 2440 degrees that day.
