Crappy author, I slogged through that whole series and OMG I was so glad when, was the last title "Confessor"? was finished. I swore to never, ever read anything by him again.

And a decade or two later there was a TV show "the Seeker of Truth" which I promptly renamed "The Sucker of Trouts" for its unbearable shittiness.

Still, a good quote and very valid. Upvoted. ;-)

Yeah I agree some parts of those books are just a slog to read through. I made it up to book 8, I think. It's been a long time since I re-read them.

Robert Jordan's "The Wheel of Time" is a lot better, although it seems needlessly complicated and long for no reason, you can just skip from book 5 to book 10 or so LOL. I think it has 14 total? If you like fantasy, you have got to read Brandon Sanderson, the very best in the genre, IMHO.
