Apparently the author of the article missed the part in the Bible where God divorced the Jews for fornication/worshipping another god and went to the gentiles. A covenant can only be broken if someone cheats or dies. Israel cheated and Jesus died on the cross and thus was the beginning of the New Covenant. So , I disagree heartily with the author. Jews believe that by their works they are saved rather than by the blood of Jesus. So, God said they will be provoked to anger at the gentiles ( us, you, me) for having this understanding and Grace and freedom from the condemnation of the law. The Jews that are attacking us are not like the Apostles of the Bible but rather like the synagogue of Satan.

Paul got mad that he couldn't eat bacon so he split off and made his own cult.

Stop pretending there is anything mystical about religion.

Wynterwhisper ago

I don't find anything" mystical" about following Christ. I abhor religion though.

By following Christ you are required to submit to your enemies through meekness, compassion and turning the other cheek. I really do think Christianity is a cuck religion. Bigger fish eat smaller fish. Wolves eat deer and sheep. It's the nature of life and Christianity is antithetical to nature, IMO.

Wynterwhisper ago

No, you turn the cheek to fellow Christian's who slight you. Jesus said that we are to sell our cloak for two swords, and there's a difference between murder and defending yourself. Meek is a heavily misunderstood word. For example, to meek a horse is when a horse is extremely strong and powerful and chooses to do what it's master asks of it. It's power but under restraint.

I don't think you can argue in good faith against the idea that the majority of Christians are programmed to see the good in other human beings. Their marching orders are to spread the good word - implying that everyone is equal in the eyes of God and all that is required for eternal salvation is to accept Jesus as personal lord and saviour.

This sets up a lot of Christians as prey for the criminally minded and psychopathic elements in our midst. Look at all the scumbag pastors of mega churches that have been outed over the years ripping of their stupid flock.

Your interpretation of scripture ( turn the cheek to fellow Christian's) is not how it is commonly understood in the majority of Christian churches. It's turn the other cheek to anyone who abuses you. In fact I believe there is something in the bible about forgiving and loving those that hate and persecute you.

You can cherry pick scripture to suit your own worldview but at that point you're just making up your own religion.

Hate the sin love the sinner, but we are not to all be treated or seen as equals and the Bible actually doesn't preach this, correct me if I'm wrong. I recall there are slaves and Kings etc and each were treated within their expected station. Even now Kings and Presidents are head of their nations and God put them there. Even in the spiritual realm the Lord of this world is Satan and Jesus is the King of Heaven, Angels have ranks and stations. Our military is the same.

Jesus hung out with prostitutes. Jesus taught the parable of the Good Samaritan. Yes, you are subordinated to everyone else's needs.

Render unto Ceasar what is Ceasers. Could you come up with a better piece of propaganda if you tried? The Romans LOVED Christ. Also Christ said the kingdom of heaven is here and now, the kindgom of heaven is within you. There is no reward in the afterlife for being a true Christian. The reward is inner peace right now in this world. So the vast majority of Christians don't even understand their own teachings.

You only need a doctor when you're sick. He hung out with the worst of the worst to minister to them and heal them. When he died on the cross he went to hell to preach to those who died before him, before rising again.

When he died on the cross he went to hell to preach to those who died before him, before rising again.

Lol, never heard that before. How were those people in hell going to benefit from being preached to?

The story of Christ is the story of the winter solstice. The sun sets, stays still for three days and then rises again.

All that said, I respect your beliefs and I'm not mocking them. I just don't know buy much of anything I've been taught as the truth. Religion is a control mechanism. You could say it was the first command and control network. Now it's the Internet.

1 Peter 3:18-20 New International Version (NIV) 18 For Christ also suffered once for sins, the righteous for the unrighteous, to bring you to God. He was put to death in the body but made alive in the Spirit. 19 After being made alive,[a] he went and made proclamation to the imprisoned spirits— 20 to those who were disobedient long ago when God waited patiently in the days of Noah while the ark was being built. In it only a few people, eight in all, were saved through water

Hell was the wrong word. I am against religion.
