No, the problem is that the vegan diet is bullshit. Every one of them ends up going through a cascade of alternative fad approaches like raw diet, all because THEY FEEL LIKE SHIT. If the diet worked, they'd just eat whatever. There are loads of videos on youtube from well-known ex vegans, many of whom were big promoters. They all say exactly the same thing - "I ate protein from animal sources to stay healthy, when i didn't I was very sick," etc etc. YT bans these videos.
