I don't know about the Moses bit... But Herbert married a Roth? Go on I'm listening

Moses was named by his Egyptian step-mother, the Bible never mentions his name at birth in order to honor the kindness of step-mother in rescuing him.

It isn't extremely surprising that other Egyptians would have "moses" in their name also because also Egyptian origin... Something you don't think about but makes sense.

I don't know about the archaeologists that uncovered King Tut's tomb, maybe they did do something sneaky. King Tut was a cultural icon in the early 20th century, eather through public fascination or publicity.

"Moses was named by his Egyptian step-mother"

this is good further proof. obviously the story of taking in a hebrew slave baby and having him be a pharoah's brother and no one noticing he looked hebrew was BS, he was obviously egyptian so yeah no shock he had an egyptian name too.

It is true Moses didn't defend his true heritage when misidentified as an Egyptian by Zipphora... And he would have been educated by Egyptians, true. But he was a Hebrew himself!

His brother by birth was Aaron the priest, sister by birth Mirian the prophetess, his birth parents Amran and Jachoved, and tended to his people for 40 years (though starting late in life...)

According to tradition Moses' difficulty in speaking was caused by a burned tongue when Pharoah but the baby to a trial by fire, but an angel was present invisibly to prevent baby Moses from failing the trial. Of course all that could be an apocryphal elaboration...

Hebrews making bull idols, including the Golden Calf, would be cultural transmission from the Egyptians.
