I'm about as pro-gun as you can get, but I did read the article and saw where the ban would apply to those deemed mentally insufficient or unstable.
I don't know where I fall on this one. ON one hand, don't fuck with my guns. On the other hand, whose job is it exactly, to say "this person's too dumb or crazy to have guns", if anyone's?
That's the problem. Knowing how things normally go with the U.S. government, they will use "deemed mentally insufficient or unstable" for anyone who does not accept or go along with the official government line.

I do agree with this, as a long-term possibility.
