Telegram's client-side code is open-source software but the source code for recent versions is not always immediately published, whereas its server-side code is closed-source and proprietary
So apparently I was partially correct.
Open source means anyone can look at the source code of the program and look for code that the Jews would use to spy on you. Transparency is everything when it comes to software and security.

I'm thinking of switching to Telegram. Is it non-Jewish?

I believe it's open source.

Whisper Networks, that it's built on, isn't. Whisper was open until the arab spring and it was shut down in the middle of the protests.

What does that mean? Is it safe to use, and protected from Jewish influence?

Thank you. I'll give it a shot, as I am extremely wary of Whatsapp given its FB connection. Appreciate your reply.

Telegram has the best functionality. Wire is a more secure option.
