Anytime China says they've produced some new technology you can be absolutely assured it's fake. It is state produced propaganda for their own citizens. Same with their missiles, boats, and anything else. It's all garbage smoke and mirrors. Look at the video in this thread.

None | China's police now have laser rifles that can 'set a whole person on fire' up to a kilometre away | Business Insider

'Only a decade ago, such powerful laser weapons were something out of science fiction. '

'There are no specific international protocols in place to regulate the development or use of this type of laser weapon. '

'China has developed a new portable laser weapon that can zap a target from nearly a kilometre away, according to researchers involved in the project. '

'Researchers stress that scientists in this field generally agree it would be inhumane to use more powerful weapons that could “carbonise” a living person. '

'But in 2015 Beijing upped the ante with a two billion-yuan fund to develop compact, powerful laser devices – an unprecedented budget for the field and one that triggered concerns in the US and other Western nations. '

Hahaha. Imagine that piece of shit on the battlefield.

Believe it or not if they shine that in your eyes you will never see again! On top of that you don't need ammunition just a solar panel so you can charge it in the daytime. I would assume it's more silent then a silenced rifle. I would still rather have an M16 but I would take one of those as well. They each would be handy in different situations.

Bollocks.

Half of them explode from over taxing poorly made lithium cells, the other half electrocute the user first time it rains.

It's a ridiculous weapon https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=07XpBUzlxxE

I stand corrected, that thing is a total piece of shit. YouTube homemade laser gun and you will see a kid in the United States that made something much more devastating than that in his bedroom. I kind of figured China had made one much more powerful. Thanks for the video.
