The real legal gripe is because Merck didn't test it's mumps component, lied about it to keep its contracts, and some people contracted mumps that shouldn't have. Big. Fucking. Deal. If this level of corruption is news to you, welcome to high school. It gets worse. This is NOT saying the vaccines "caused" the mumps. No. The legal argument is that MERCK is negligent in preventing people from getting sick, not causing it.
