I really struggle to believe that we can't get easily get people to the moon today if we could do it 50 years ago.
It's called the New Dark Age. It's coming. The Romans had hot and cold running water in their houses. A century later their descendants were shitting in the gutter. Societies not only advance, they also decline. A century from now the brown, low IQ residents of what used to be the United States of America will be lucky if they don't need to use horses and bicycles to get around.

I have a soft place in my heart for the idea of what it must have felt like to be part of a country that was doing great things.
