Because all the "gas chambers" had wooden doors. The "death camps" had swimming pools, brothels, theatres, shopping centers, and their own camp money system... Which begs the question: If you're going to execute people, why would you build them a swimming pool or a brothel? Because of the Haavara Agreement.
