Why naming a music band Spandau Ballet? (Conspiracy)

As far as I know, Spandau was an infamous place in Germany well known for it's prison. I wonder why an english music band for teenagers would call themselves Spandau Ballet?

Refers to the jerky movements of Nazi war prisoners hanged at Spandau prison as they were hanged.
