Ok, so - if nothing happens there tomorrow (it won't), will you admit you were wrong and that your view of the world might be false?

Or will you just delete this thread and stay convinced you know "the truth"?

(If it does happen there tomorrow, I'll admit I was wrong and that your understand the world better than me)

Alerting the public and creating timelines (like OP does) can avert these things.

Everyone thinks Y2K was a meme because nothing happened. They just ignore the ungodly amount of work that went into making sure it didn't.

That guy who draws Dilbert (Scot Adams) called the Florida Shooting FF the day before because he noticed the News Cycle had slowed down enough for a "persuasion event" to be launched without being lost among a crowd of other distractions.

Then we got months of Hogg being fantastically annoying and Goblina raised up as a would-be religious figure trying to kick-start a Soros Color Revolution. But it was so obvious and called out so hard they backed off.

So if you make a prediction and area wrong, that doesn't mean you are wrong. But if you make a prediction and you are right, then it proves you were right?

Scott Adams had something to say about that with regard to global warming!

They made a ton of predictions - for every possible change in temperature.

Most of which were obviously wrong - but some were right (simply because they covered all possible temperature changes)

Then they only point to the predictions that were right and say "see? This proves it!"

That's what you're doing right now.

I'm new around here, please explain. Is he making a bunch of these alerts all the time, and deleting "misses"? Giving a time and place sounds more specific than covering all possible temperatures.
