Airplane pilot flying south look to the right it is dark, look to the left it is day?
Sun rotating around pan, what creates the dark part? Distance?
A light in the dark is very difficult to hide, unless a shadow lays on it, something has to create that shadow.

You do know how they first proved the earth was round right? When they used to all think it was flat...
Until the third century B.C. it was generally accepted that the world was flat, that was until a multi-talented man named Eratosthenes came across an interesting discovery.
After reading that at noon on the 21st of June, pillars in the Egyptian town of Syrene cast no shadows, Eratosthenes decided to replicate the scenario in his town of Alexandria. He was perplexed when a stick held vertically there DID cast a shadow at noon.
If the earth was indeed flat, all shadows should be the same, whether created by a pillar in Syrene or a stick in Alexandria. However, if the earth was curved, the shadows would change lengths depending on how far north or south you are, just as Eratosthenes guessed.
To visualize this, imagine a sheet of paper with two toothpicks stuck in it, several inches apart, and a lamp shining down from overhead. Neither toothpick casts a shadow. However, bend the paper at one end, and the tilted toothpick will create a shadow. The more you bend it, the longer the shadow.
You also know that the same scientist was able to accurately guess the size of the ROUND Earth as well know how???
After proving that the earth is round, third century B.C. thinker Eratosthenes had the information he needed to measure the earth’s circumference.
If the earth’s surface was curved, then it had to be shaped much like a ball, meaning a little geometry would lead Eratosthenes to an accurate estimate.
He imagined his two sticks, one in the northern town of Syrene, and one in the southern town of Alexandria, as lines extending downward until they meet at the center of the earth.
Drawing more lines coming straight down to represent sunlight, Eratosthenes moved one stick along the outside of the circle until the shadow it would cast matched the shadow his stick actually made. Now he knew how much of the circle extended between Syrene and Alexandria, about seven degrees.
Needing to know the actual distance from Alexandria to Syrene, Eratosthenes paid camel caravan drivers to go from one town to the other, who reported a distance of 500 miles.
Assuming 500 miles equals 7 degrees of the circle, the whole circle should be 25,000 miles.
Eratosthenes’ answer, deduced with nothing but two sticks and some camels, came within a few percent of the actual circumference.
So basically still today a simple toothpick in the ground at noon can prove the earth is round. Shadows do every day.....

So let's ignore the fact that he was almost exact in his calculations.. even if the earth is flat, it's still the same size. But his calculations only work if it's round. Why would you ask a question like that, completely ignoring that the SUNSET is the sun setting into the horizon, which is something that wouldn't happen if the earth were flat?
I'm sure the answer is that it's not the exact same time, but very close to it. And that the huge distance between you and the horizon is such a greater distance than you and the person at ground level that the difference is minute.
But ohhhh you're going to somehow point at that, all the while ignoring that the sun isn't supposed to be setting AT ALL on a flat Earth model, it's supposed to be circling around.. it wouldn't set it would just get smaller as it circles around and wouldn't even completely disappear... If anything it would beckme smaller like the moon or a star..
But yeah completely ignore that and some how try and use the sunset which COMOLETELY DEBUNKS flat Earth to prove the earth is flat. That kind of ignorance is mind bending.

Like if I take a flight from San Diego to Palm Beach it follows a mostly straight line and on a flat Earth map it would be curved yet the plane isn't constantly banking, yet I can prove I am following the path just by looking out the window, to to mention the pilot would have to by lying to me.

Why would it need to be curved on a flat earth? The smallest distance between two points is a straight line, so your example makes zero sense.
If the world was curved, wouldn’t it make sense that the plane would need to keep dipping its nose to remain level to the earth? It doesn’t do this because it doesn’t need to - once the altitude is acheived the plane remains level until its time for the descent to begin... because the earth is flat.

No what I am saying is, flights that goneast to West follow a straight line this can be verified by looking out the window.
However going the same route on the flat Earth map is no longer straight it's curved. And the plane doesn't bank.

Notice how the longitudinal lines are curved. Especially the further south you go?
That means when flying west or east where on a round earth you are flying in a straight line, on a flat Earth you would be flying in a curved line to take the same exact route. And even more impossible is long international flights for which some you would even run out of fuel in the middle of the ocean.....
Now the plane isn't constantly banking, you can check the flight path by looking out the window, and they pilot surely isn't there to lie to you about what path he took, and surely he is going to take the shortest path. But on a flat Earth he doesn't.
This destroys the flat Earth hypothesis ..

You're using a map that has been straightened out to explain your flat Earth theory, ignoring that the flat Earth map LOOKS NOTHING AT ALL LIKE THAT. Do explain again the same concept on a flat Earth map, and while your at it explain why you can circle antartica so easily when on a flat Earth map it would be the longest trip ever.
Also explain how very recently some guy's hiked across the South Pole.. HIKED across it when on a flat Earth map they would have had to either fallen off the edge of the earth, or it would have taken a lifetime to do so... Since they would have had to go all the way around and that would have been like 50000 miles that they would have had to of hiked.

And the flat Earth map has to try and compensate for the roundness in a flat map.. so it stretches out the southern hemisphere..
