Then why did Britain intern Oswald Mosley, leader of the British Union of Fascists, for three years during WW2? Why would the British government so vigorously try to discourage fascist movements from gaining steam if members of the royal family were secretly fascists?

Because they owed truck-loads of money to certain bankers who had been run out of Germany ten years earlier.

It's the Golden Rule. He who owns the gold makes the rules.

Who has the gold now?

Nobody really knows. All available statistics on the matter are spun, obfuscated, and deceptive.

I'm working on getting a few kilograms of it as insurance against uncertainty for myself and my future grandchildren, but I'm not there yet.

Nobody knows. Everyone is desperate to get some because they know the crash is coming; China, Germany, Texas, et al.

Most of the gold that exists on the books of the big banks today is just paper. The banks transferred their real gold off the books.

When all the government and corporate pension funds and 401k's go poof, that hidden gold cannot be seized by angry populists.

In the decades after the collapse, the big banks will dribble it back into the system like they did with all the gold that disappeared during World War 2, so they can sell it again, and repeat the process for their grandchildren the same way their grandfathers did for them.
