I don't care just tried of crazy that does not matter. The constitution and the bill of rights. Slavery was not only tolerated in the Constitution, but it was codified. But whatever nobody saying this is evil. Except that is wasn't flying "over the state govt building". It was flying over a civil war memorial on state grounds.

In 2000, more than 45,000 people marched in Columbia demanding the flag be removed, but a compromise relocated the flag from the capitol dome to a 30-foot flagpole at the Confederate war memorial on the statehouse lawn.
