Have you noticed that there are no serious movies about clones? As far as I know, there are serious movies about almost any serious matter, but not clones. All we have are comedies or sci-fi movies set in the future. I can't understand why nobody is making serious movies about cloning, since it's plausible that they already exist among us. Are clones the best kept secret by the TPTB? I bet some unaware people are married to clones without even knowing it. Why nobody is talking about this?

The Island is a great movie on this topic. Brave New World as well. That one is scarily realistic, at least the book. The movie is a bit dated and could stand for a remake.Blade Runner is centered on the elimination of a few rogue clones who just want to get to live longer. Moon is also an insanely realistic scenario involving clones. Supposed to be a sequal some day I think. And those are just off the top of my head. Even the Star Wars involvement with clones is a scenario I already worry about in our world as a possible use for them.

Too expensive to maintain. Autonomous weapons are cheaper, more resilient and are better at killing stuff. Also, they already exist. There's huge guns mounted to vans that can automatically identify and kill humans up to a mile or so away. There's still some issues and drones have kind of come in at an even cheaper price point, so there's that.

Good points.
