Perhaps you've seen headlines the past few days on how TikTok has a huge white supremacy and Nazi problem. I think the reason behind this manufactured narrative is due to TikTok not being controlled by the Silicon Valley. The circles within the valley that control the political alignment of tech companies (Google + Youtube, Electronic Arts, Twitter, Patreon, etc) have not managed to sneak their way into TikTok since the app is based in China. And since they have no control over TikTok, they try to destroy it to maintain their (almost) monopoly in the tech industry.
