We have the technology to take E.T. home, what is the scope of capital required for such a task, no doubt greater than billions, trillions is not out of the question.
One day... I swear, the OLD DISCOVERY CHANNEL I used to know with the good stuff, will come back, with new documentaries about all of the awesome things our covert space program(s) have done. I can't agree with you any more.
You do know that they've had reverse-engineered flying saucers since the late 50's right (by reverse-engineered I mean built by us - humans, as we have had extraterrestrial spacecraft since late 19th century as a result of the Aurora Texas crash in 1893)?
Yes, even prior to that, standard lighter-than-air airship technology was classified and possibly operational in a covert fashion in California in the 1890s, I suspect that maintaining a covert branch of technology may be the key to having a global superpower, and this fact has been known privately without ever being really acknowledged publicly.
