I was about to call bullshit on that, but I searched and found that studies have been done with flies that prove that a previous mate's dna could affect future offspring. That is so horrifying. The ancients (like in Aristotle's time) believe that could happen, but modern genetics "disproved" it. But now epigenics is starting to figure out that the old-timers were actually right. Good grief -- what are we going to find out next? Is the earth really flat after all? Because modern science has a pretty piss poor track record right now ...
