I was reading about 5G today and something really obvious just clicked. The reason 5G has such a short range and needs so many repeaters is that it interacts with molecules in the air. Specifically water and oxygen. Now if it interacts with water in the air, guess what it does with water in your skin? That's why they were able to make that skin burning "pain ray" for the military.
Very good observation. In fact the wireless industry is well aware of this, and is actively planning to use the oxygen O2 spectrum of 60Ghz, because it allows them to improve the noise profile of their communications link:

Of course there is zero discussion of environmental or health effects. They just treat the atmosphere as if it was their private science lab.
