I mean... unless you're one of the folks who thinks the moon landings were faked and the ISS is staged, NASA is technically doing stuff in space.

I say "technically" because there is the fucking hell that is paperwork and the bureaucracy, but we do manage to send people up to the ISS regularly (and bring them back) and get science done.
