All these theories are possible but i'm going to be the Occam's razor guy on this one because when I first read about the story when it was breaking news I already guessed exactly what happened.
Fatal crashes involving chop shop limos are actually really common. It's actually become very typical for self made limo drivers to essentially have a limo 'built' from old vehicles which usually involves combining multiple vehicles and parts. This makes the overall structure of the 'limo' very weak and not even remotely up to any vehicle safety standards. If a fucking smart car crashes into one of those limos it will crumple up like the Hindenberg. You might as well be a person smacking into a wall at 60mph in one of those things.
I largely agree, it's just the part about every single one of them dying that is a little suspect. You'd think that all those bodies crammed into a relatively small space would surely have acted as a buffer for at least some of the people.
This is true. Though smacking into a body at high speed isn't that much better than snacking into the interior of the car.
Nonetheless one or more survivors though badly injured is far more likely than all of them dying immediately. The circumstances of the crash would have had to have been very severe I think. It's hard to tell from the photo but the vehicle doesn't look like it was involved in a roll over scenario which could definitely kill everyone. From the details it went straight through a stop sign (odd, impaired driver? Or even possibly sabotage) and went straight into a parked SUV. So high speed, no seatbelts, and immediately stopping. Evidently everyone would be flung around at least once.
It is suspicious, I will give you that. Most being dead, severe damage, permanently paralyzed even. But all were dead before arriving at the hospital.
Exactly. Those people weren't all lined up in the back seat and then all of a sudden got flung forwards 20ft inside a vehicle so that they all hit the interior etc. It would have been people in various locations within the vehicle being flung in the same general direction, but colliding with each other too, which would have slowed things and softened things, even if to a small degree. All dying is dubious and the only photo I've seen so far of the limo doesn't look all that bad. I think it's fair to have questions about this one.
I think it is possible for all of them having died but without an estimated speed it's hard to tell. That doesn't look like a high speed road. I would suppose speeds of over 90 could result in an all dead scenario from the sheer force but there would be no reason to go that fast in that kind of vehicle and especially not on that road unless intentional.
More looking into on both the passengers and driver is warranted. People are focusing on the company owner but he's alive and well. I think the prime suspect if there is foul play is the driver himself. Unfortunately cars do not have a black box so it is up to whether or not the crash investigation details get released, as the investigators can typically guess the speed range.
