A tax on people who are bad at math.

TheTrigger ago

You'd think so, but there's been math enthusiasts who've figured out foolproof ways of knowing how to pick winning scratch cards, by looking at them for a split second. And the crazy part is, the lottery people never really seem to give a shit. Other people figure out odds of how/when/where to buy their tickets to maximize odds of winning; people make their living this way.

I'll concede, however, that the average idiot definitely won't ever see any big payouts— aside from the most random of outliers. Last I checked, people were running deep-learning AI scripts that would literally take in to account every last conceivable (and inconceivable, to a human) calculation that would accurately predict outcomes in all forms of betting and gambling.

Where are you checking for these Lotto winning AIs? I'd like to have one. Although I do recall an article about horse betting predictions being done by legacy systems (think dos machines) that worked too well to upgrade

If the game is rigged, some math wiz should be able to figure it out, because that means there is a non uniform distribution of outcomes. A truly unrigged game should have equal probability of choosing any number.
