No I think you're onto something.. Seems like you struck a nerve, if the message is delivered clear and simple, %100 accurate, with a skyrocketing upvoat count in progress, nobody shills come out of the woodwork to throw multiple fairly reasoned (but ill intentioned, expect for @BloodandHonor's comment that redirected the discussion well: ultimately you either have to pick left or right) arguments against OPs, content, presenter, etc... multi-pronged attacks armed with weak circumstantial arguments seem like obvious attempts to decrease the effectiveness of your message.
