First thoughts, someone at the observatory saw something they weren’t supposed to see or no one expected to see. The USPS was closed because someone tried to mail a package out trying to get info out?! Weird shit that reminds me of some doomsday movie.
I don't know. Maybe workers knew what the information was too and the FBI had to place them in "protective custody" or some shit. Any way you slice the story it is really odd that the FBI had to take over and no details are getting out. Maybe it was a box of those 'They Live' glasses. ;)
Probably just a bomb threat or suspicious package found or something, with a little something spicy added to the mix to make this a little more interesting.

Why would you need an ongoing investigation shutting the post office down if that was the case? That's a simple matter of "find and destroy package"

If it was a bomb threat they would follow the known playbook for bomb threat. They are not.
