To be honest, it seems very rational of the pentagon to have a response to Russia and Chinas recent expansionist movements. Yes it's hypocritical, but it's the logical thing to do.
Yes, though it's more of a response in focus from independent to state actors (China/Russia).
But, let's be honest about who threw down the gauntlet in world disorder in the 21st century with a pre-emptive war upon a country that did nothing to it (Iraq).
Yup Yup. After Iraq. After ISIS was created by U.S. to take down Gaddafi and is now just romping around creating chaos and media attention. After Syria gets threatened. After the U.S. wants to be friends with Cuba all of a sudden because they are actually making real progress with cancer. After the TPP. After so much imperial bullshit really. It's astounding how many have yet to realize we are one of the bad guys to a not insignificant portion of the world (well not us, the people. Most like Americans enough. I travel a lot and never have real problems. The Gov is obviously the problem)

Keep telling yourself that.
Why don't you tell me about what Russia is doing right now or Iran?
You realize there's other imperialistic countries around the world, don't you?
Never said they were not. U.S. is the grand daddy of them all. It just goes to show how the powers tug and pull and yank. Imperialism is all part of the problem. Many are spurred/forced by the U.S.'s preposterous reach.

No, people are at the heart of the problem.
People are power hungry, which results in imperialism.
You are arguing against the human condition to dominate others, which while noble, is completely divorced from the nature of people and the history of their actions.

Huh? Are you upset that America is good at what they do?
You'd rather have Russia or Iran running the show in the majority of the world?
The idea that: 'humans dominate and are competitive by nature and that's just who we are oh well just stahp'. Is dumb. Humanity is still primitive and has a long way to go. Life in general. In the grand scheme of things we are so small. Don't forget that. Humans totally have the ability to transcend that. And it is slowly happening. Humans can totally overcome that idiotic, me me mine mine that primitive survival was all about. I mean it has started on so many levels. We are already so much less strong, so much less aware of immediate surroundings. Lost essentially all practical crafting skills. We are on our way to not having to punch stuff in order to get goats (voats?) back. We realize the damage done/happening. I do. Im sure you do to. Those in power will come round eventually as human consciousness in general advances past 'the dumb'. Don't you think that?
You are talking to a vagabond and houseless traveler. I have gone a while without eating. I have also eaten seeds for a few days and I love hitchhiking around America. I've also lived in Mexico, Canada and Belgium. The world is full of nice people who can easily get there shit together when the shit hits the fan. We'll be ok.

Constant U.S. war mongering and militarized dick swinging really begs Russia and China to go: 'well, fuck those dudes. They dicks. For real tho'

Yup, after Kosovo and the unilateral bombing by Clinton.
After the market fell out on Russia's deregulation following the collapse of the USSR.
There's not much of a peaceful new world order to hope for.

"Power abhors a vacuum", remember that.

Please don't confuse hope for the future with historical human nature, especially when it comes to survival with limited resources.
When there's only enough food for a billion people, we'll see how you feel about "human consciousness" when your stomach is empty.
