IOT was just the rebranding, and it works under the premise of 'Collect all sensory data by all means possible'
Honestly, its genius, and its worth trillions. Ther will be issues, data sec being one. However how much does your data sec group care about environmntal sensors data leaking out?
Do not put Anything of value on the IOT framework, but collect that low value data in the terrabytes per second. This doesn't translate well for Residential, but it does for Commercial and Industrial applications.
