My concern is for the future. What do we do when we have no new ways to kill these diseases and they have evolved to resist our drugs? What hapoens to human immune systems over time?
I wouldn't worry too much. Edward Jenner came up with the first vaccine in 1796. We managed to get to 1796 without vaccines. I doubt we'll all drop dead if vaccines were suddenly eliminated. In fact I think a lot of chronic illnesses and strange symptoms would vanish from our population instead.
Good immunity is a lot about nutrition, and the other important puzzle piece is hygiene and sanitation. Those play a much bigger role than anything else.
How would things drop off if we stopped using medicine? That doesnt even make sense.
That wasnt my point though. My point is that we are forcing these diseases to change and evolve much faster than they would naturally.
This creates resistant strains.
With resistant strains comes new challenges for new meds.
What if we can find something to kill these new more powerful diseases?
Over prescribing anti biotics is creating a world where our own genes and the genes of these diseases are changing disproportionately to mother nature.
Mother nature has a much longer and, more successful history than human manipulation,
Ok sorry. I may have misunderstood your original comment. I was of the impression you were advocating for vaccines in order to protect against these new diseases. In case you were not, then I misunderstood.
Otherwise I do agree with everything you say above. But the reason serious disease would drop off, is because vaccines create some of these diseases in form of damaging human biology. That's what I meant by drop-off: we eliminate vaccines, we would eliminate a lot of modern ailments.
Also you're rightly concerned about antibiotic resistance, but did you know that vaccines also mutate viruses? Think about that for a moment in terms of consequences. We have the same form of change in proportion to mother nature here also.
Btw. another interesting factor; it appears glyphosate also contributes to antibiotic resistance.
Interesting stuff, since it's the most widely used pesticide in the world. There's another rabbit hole to go down into in terms of disease progression.
I see what you mean, vaccines cause issues that would disappear if we stopped using said vaccines. Is that correct? Just want,to make sure I,have that right. I would agree with this.

And your last sentence...agree fully.

Yes. Correct.
