The beginner intermediate Southpaws always have the advantage, because they already know Southpaw but almost always fight orthodox trained fighters so they know both, also a good counter you get the fast jab going against southpaws, also many fights can be messy so also work on your clinch, throw, knees, grapple you get in close range fights like judo etc etc its a good idea yourself to have tried sparring in a southpaw stance understanding how they attack and coming up with your own methods.
