anybody else think that we actually just lost South Korea as an ally instead of losing North Korea as a threat???
Objectively think about what our recent foreign policy has been, especially since the war on terror. We are the global equivalent to an axe murderer in a locked summer camp. Why would anybody do anything in our favor? Just look at ghadaffi.

I feel that way too. The way the US wanted a hot war with NK, possibly sacrificing millions of SK lives in the process, was a wakeup call.
