In this era of “fake news” and rising populism

OY VEY GOYIM POPULISM IS BAD YOU SHOULD FUCK OTHER SPECIES

encountering conspiracy theories is becoming a daily phenomenon.

And?

Some people usually shrug them off – they find them too simplistic, biased or far-fetched

Ignoring the actual reasons, of course.

And if a person believes one kind of conspiracy theory, they usually believe others.

Fallacy. Well poisoning. Hoax.

by avoiding getting their kids vaccinated, believers in vaccination conspiracies can harm wider public health

“People who don’t vaccinate their kids can hurt the kids who are vaccinated! IGNORE THAT I JUST ADMITTED VACCINES ARE USELESS! IGNORE THAT VACCINES HAVE BEEN PROVEN TO INCREASE AUTISM AND HAVE BEEN CAUGHT BEING FILLED WITH STERILIZATION DRUGS!”

a belief in a conspiracy against one’s own ethnic or religious group can foment radicalism.

“OY FUCKING VEY, YOU WANT TO STOP YOUR PEOPLE FROM BEING EXTERMINATED YOU ARE A RADICAL!”

nonbelievers tend to be more highly educated

For a new study in Applied Cognitive Psychology

No, sorry, an ACTUAL study.

various well-known conspiracy theories, such as that the moon landings were hoax

Not any real conspiracies, though. He said nothing about Uranium One or the Federal Reserve or the European Union.

The more highly educated a participant, the less likely they were to endorse the conspiracy theories.

The fake ones, yeah.

Simple solutions… like what the conspirators claim are reality? Oh, no, of course not…

The nature of his study means we can’t infer that education or the related factors he measured actually cause less belief in conspiracies.

Oh, so the entire article is a hoax. Great!

his findings help make sense of why education can contribute to “a less paranoid society”

Except “not being a conformist” is now “mental illness”, so paranoia is genuinely healthy.

the insight that societal problems often have no simple solutions

Kill all jews. It’s hard to do, but simple in concept. That solves all societal problems.

by stimulating a sense of control

No actual control, mind you. Just a sense of one.

What about 'anti-Semitism'? Is that why jews commit so many mass shootings?

What are you even saying? Jews created the mental health crisis that caused an explosion of unhealthy people being FREED into society. Why? Because too many jews were being committed because JEWS ARE GENETICALLY PREDISPOSED TO MENTAL ILLNESS. Jews run guns to all manner of non-white groups to exterminate whites.
