You have a suspicious mind. In my experience, only dishonest people think this way.

I'm not telling you what to believe. I'm telling you what I heard. As follow-up, a redditor informed me Stamets did a Coast-to-coast interview wherein he described the situation concerning his biopesticide patent- basically that he can write his own check, but his insistence on a stipulational clause that it be produced and marketed means nobody will buy it. They want to buy it and shelf it.

If this was at all an incredible story I would understand your cynical skepticism, but in light of a history where these kinds of industrial sabotage are quite normal, I don't think you're acting reasonably.

You'd have me say, "I read it in an article published on the internet by a person who heard it from a person and it's believable because this video of the horse's mouth "

Stamets could lie on video or to a journalist just as easily. I have no reason to suspect this though. Maybe if he was a politician or someone with a history of lying. It seems situational and you seem to be grasping at straws for a reason to doubt everything.
