SO if you have a low frequency radio wave then your bandwidth for digital data i tiny. if you have a high frequency transmission, like visible light perhaps, then your information transmission ability is higher. Catch is this: The higher the frequency the shorter the distance. 5g is similar to Microwave i think. so these towers are going to have to be EVERYWHERE. LIke very close together. They will give you gigabit internet on your cell phone though. But the quantity of those signals in a populated area will likely have negative effects on people and animals and insects and god knows what else.
