As the one commenters stated, the guy rambling is splitting hairs and in a way he is deceiving his flock that is watching. He should be careful of what he says.
If the knowledge that the single allusion in scripture to satan as lucifer is in fact a mistranslation is ‘splitting hairs’ then I would have to wonder what qualifies as worth knowing.
As to Dr Pidgeon needing to be careful, I find it difficult to imagine a more exhaustive analysis of the facts and their ramifications in the time taken - already more than most are able to pay attention for
For this people's heart is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes they have closed; lest at any time they should see with their eyes and hear with their ears, and should understand with their heart.
What is the point of commenting without knowing what you are commenting on?
Why are you making statements about scripture when you have not read it?
Seek and ye shall find.
That knowledge has been available to all of us for a very long time. The largest problem with people today, those with or without faith is that they don't read scripture. They let someone else tell them about it.
I encourage you to search for the information I mentioned to you and will point you in the direction of the KJV bible as it is the least tainted. But I will not give you the answer, as it needs to be discovered by you in your research.
I read and love very much the King James Version, and as well as it’s beauty I agree that it seems to be largely untainted.
Dr Pidgeon is discussing an instance where he has found ther to be a mistranslation which renders the title of Lucifer where The Shining One or The Howling One seems to be the correct translation of the Hebrew.
The direct translation from the hebrew text giving the title ‘The Shining One’ and/or ‘The Howling One’
The fact that this is the only place in scripture where this title is applied to Satan, and the fact that the title is elsewhere applied to Jesus The Messiah, together with other matters pertaining to the story of the translation discussed by Dr Pidgeon in the video seem to me to make a compelling case.
That the worshipers of The Father of Lies would like to use of the latin name Lucifer meaning ‘light bringer’ for their god is easy to understand
