I lurked for a while before creating an account but that's what drove me away from reddit. Any dissenting opinion was attacked so viciously, there was no point in being part of the conversation. What is really bad is that I wasn't disagreeing with people as much as asking for verification of what they were posting. I think that was seen as more challenging to their rhetoric than flat out disagreement.
Voat can't survive an attack like that. People will move on until there is just a few mods left talking to each other through their numerous alts.
