I know people whose kids went to that high school and another who has kids at the middle school nearby. According to those parents, their kids heard the shots. Even at the middle school.

How many of your acquaintances kids are dead?
Zero. One parent with middle schoolers, another with a high schooler. No one that knew died, but I didn't really question them too much on it.
