That's why I've never had a flu shot and never will, its pretty stupid to assume I will catch the flu so I better get a shot and give it to myself intentionally. There's also no telling what else they put in those shots, I'm not willing to gamble my life or sanity

The flu shot is literally incapable of causing illness

Actually, many people have died directly from flu shots, and received brain and nerve damage. Of course these were from a bad batch--and unfortunately the victims were helpless to do anything about it because vaccine companies are protected from legal prosecution by specific legislation. As for normal flu shots--from the wide array of literature I've read it is too early to count out any kind of vaccine causing illness, especially in the long term. There are too many factors we do not understand about the human body.

And many many many more have died from the flu. The current flu vaccines are literally incapable of giving you flu because there is no viable life in it. Most vaccines given (now) are literally actually for sure incapable of giving you the illness they are vaccinating, and administered by a competent person in a sterile environment they are extraordinarily unlikely to cause any illness.

Point of fact is that they help many thousands more lives than they harm. The more important topic is discussing the time and money spent on urging everyone to get the flu shot when the efficacy (even disregarding the opt-in procedure, which greatly diminishes the vaccination effort) of the vaccines are often lower than 25% (this season's was around 10%)
