I put this on v/whatever but I think it may belong here instead.
I can't find the link but I saw something on the Twit about a Veteran's group currently fighting having their gun rights revoked due to simply seeing a VA psychiatrist; regardless of the reason.
Focusing on keeping guns out of the hands of "the crazies" is so open to abuse. What's to keep Liberals in the future from declaring us all crazy?
This is a dangerous road to go down and I don't think it should be considered. Just like more laws won't keep a psycho from getting his hands on a gun, an additional roadblock on the background checks won't either.
We're being duped.
They're making a huge loud push about repealing A2 so we'll all be lulled into this "minor" concession to make it go away. My bullshit detector is screaming right now.

That's exactly what's going to happen, they will absolutely abuse it. It will come down to "We see you are a registered republican and voted Trump, DENIED"

Continually moving the line to what is deemed a violation. I believe that with PA medical cannibis law it is a violation, and they can infringe and deny your access to exercise your 2nd amendment right.

Ya I'm pretty sure a lot of states that have medical marijuana, the deal is you have to give up your 2nd amendment "right" in exchange for the privilege of buying weed legally. It's mafia mentality, "we give you something, now we gotta take something"

What will happen is the black market for marijuana will remain since people won't want to sign up for medical marijuana and lose their right to own a gun. Someone isn't thinking this through.

Or they are thinking it through. There's a lot of easy money to be lost if they can't incarcerate nonviolent pot smokers any more. How are they going to keep up with contractual quotas to the private prisons?

Someone deleted my comment for "context" so I'm surprised you were able to reply. The cops around here are not aggressive regarding marijuana, and unless you cause other problems they seem to ignore it. The private prisons are making tons of money off the incarcerated illegals, they won't have to worry about filling their quotas for a long time.
