Overnight (February 201, 2018) Twitter has blocked many researcher accounts (#QAnon, School Shooting Research) and #MAGA accounts saying they are either violating terms of service or are robot accounts. It doesn't seem like a big deal, but many well known accounts have reported losing thousands of followers. To unblock, you have to give them a phone number and they will send a code to use to unlock your account. If you have only a landline or don't want to give them your phone number, you are out of luck.

I made a new email account and then created a new Twitter account but they AUTOMATICALLY applied my old landline number to my new account and blocked it! So now I have two blocked accounts.
