PTSD triggers can happen for the people who survived the shooting. Also, blood stains are ridiculously hard to remove from certain surfaces (see some streets in France that existed during the time of the guillotine, there's reddish-brown "water lines" where the blood was flowing).
If you paint the street, no one sees the stains. I am just concerned with the millions of wasted dollars involved. Also I think the motive is not worry over triggering PTSD, but DNA residue, or lack of it. Thanks for the response.
True, that can be a reason for it. I doubt those kids really like being forced into this regardless of who and how. They also have first hand proof of what someone will do to keep the story the way they want it.
